Star Chamber Court and State Officers Court

The windows were removed in the Star Chamber Court and State Officers Court as part of a wider restoration programme managed by Walter Lily and Donald Insall Associates.

During removal of the panels it was clear that the windows required conservation in the studio to restore them back to good condition.

Some of the borders were weak and deteriorating, and required re-leading. The panels were showing signs of water ingress, so we re-cemented each panel to ensure they would be watertight once re-installed.

We also carried out some in-situ repairs to panels that didn't need to be taken out
