Clock Dial Restoration

Elizabeth Tower, The Houses of Parliament, 2018-2020

We are the team responsible for the restoration of the glass in Big Ben's  clock dials.

Removing the existing damaged 1950's glass and installing new mouth blown opal glass to match the original glass that would have been used in the 1860's.

Each of the 1296 apertures were individually templated before the glass was hand cut in the studio and then installed in place.

As part of the works we also re glazed the Ayrton Light at the top of the Elizabeth Tower and all of the diamond leaded windows that run up the length of the tower.
